I'm 17, and I've had Alopecia Areata for 5 or 6 years now. I won't lie, at first I let it control me. It was hard since it started getting worse when I was just entering high school, so it hendered me from a lot of the things I wanted to do. For years I've worn a du-rag to cover my spots.

At this point, I'm working to raise awareness in the City of Rochester, NY. I'm planning a benefit event for the NAAF and I need your help please. Any suggestions on activities to raise awareness and donations would be greatly appreciated.
