    Hi Sue,

I have lost and regrown hair a couple of times myself, right now it is growing back again and I am kind of ignoring it and shaving it off. In a wierd way I am not ready to handle having hair again.

I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us.

I'm very interested in all of this. My daughter was diagnosed celiac only when she was in her 30's although she had bowel probs for years (doc said it was colic when she was small & IBS later). She was diagnosed in Australia-they seem much more celiac aware than UK. I have been tested but only blood test and this came back negative but I'd heard there are many false negative results with blood tests. It was only when my daughter was diagnosed that I read up on celiac. I think I will push for a proper test next time I see the doctor as it certainly all seems to link up but I would find it hard to stay on a completely gluten-free diet unless I had been confirmed with the condition. Then I'd just have to - like my daughter. I have a feeling that my dad (long gone I'm afraid) had undiagnosed celiac now I know more about it as he had bowel probs all his life but docs did'nt seem to know about it then and they don't seem much more aware now in this country at least. My daughter has all her own hair by the way although I don't. all the best, Diana
