I'm 30 & live in Texas. I have had alopecia since I was 24 and I am still learning to accept how other people may percieve me. Now about me.... I live to tailgate!!! I believe it is a sport and one must go into training to be able to preform to a maximum drinking capcity. Also I love to go dancing with my girls. I believe Britney Spears is the greatest thing since sliced bread and no, you will never change my mind. I adore going to concerts & seeing local bands preform. I am also a summer girl! Get me in a lake & I'll find Party Cove. I try to enjoy every moment & surround myself with people who make my life more enjoyable. In the past I've put up with more than I should so now I expect nothing but the best. Above all I'm a girl who just wants to have fun! Having said all that, I am also not on this site very much. I don't really have a reason why but if it takes me a while to get back to you please don't be offended. XOXO!

    its in louisville kentucky. im really exited about it. to meet and hang out with so many people who are going thro the same thing as me...iv never met any one else with AA. plus i love to travel and meet new people. plus lots of beautifull women =)

    i know exactly what you mean. i do make enuff money tho esp only working 6 months out of the year(2 weeks on 2 weeks off) but i hate it alot the work not the money and the 2 weeks off thats all that keeps me here really. im almost akeing for a change just dont know what id do. the time off and the money is adicting. what do you think youd want to do or do you have some thing lined up[ all ready?

    lol not sure but i do know i wouldint want to sit in a cubicle all day id go insane..........not sure i have 2 years community i was kinda thinking id like to be a cop or game warden maybe. iv changed my mind so many times i wanted to be a fire fighter for a while my major in collage was marine biology. my hobby is takeing photos would love to make money doing that. all i know is that i want to wake up and think man i cant wait to get to work!!!! not sure what could make me feel that way yet/.

    Trust me, you are NOT the only football chick around!!! You do have my deepest sympathies for being a Bears AND a Cowboys fan (LOL) but I have to forgive you because you do live in Texas in a Dallas suburb (although HOW exactly you came to be a Bears fan in Cowboy country is beyond me!) I am the commissioner of my own fantasy football league (6 years running) and at least one TV in my house stays on NFL Network 24 hours a day!

    So how has life been since you shaved your head??

    Hi Tiffany - I can totally relate to your "summer girl" woes. I'm down in Austin and there's a place called Pace Bend that my friends and I go to a lot where there cliff jumping and rock climbing. It's my favorite! But I have dropped off these last two years since I have lost more hair. This summer though - I say F*** it! I'm going and drinking beer (a lot too - I have to make up for missing two summers!) and hanging with my posse. They all know I have AA so I don't know what I've been hesitant for. I hope that you find your inner "F*** it" and get out to the lake too! :-)

    Hi Tiffany! I went to Texas a little while ago and Dallas is about 6 hours from San Antonio (right?) I LOVED Texas. It is so beautiful. I was depressed to come back to NY. I move to San Antonio at the end of this month. I am so excited!! Have you lived there all of your life?

    Where did you get your wigs? Do you wear them al the time? Did you ever get treatment for your AA and did you ever get a biopsy done? My doctor is in Texas, I live in New Mexico now. How long did it take for you to loose most of your hair? I'm just wondering if I'm going down the same path. I heard some people dont loose all of their hair, but it seems like most people do and they shave off the rest. Are the websites and doctors lying or once you have AA, are you pretty much doomed to loose most of it? Thanks for any imput!

    um.....guy underneath me DOES NOT know what he's talking about. He's trying to sell u something! I have a freedon wig and I wear my hair up almost everyday...you do not need bangs either. It is NOT hot...Lace front can fall off of your head...where as a vacuum will stay on no matter what. Just wanted to steer u the right direction.
