Hi everyone! I am 25. I am currently in grad school working on my Masters in Special Ed. and work as a Special Education Para at an elementary school. I have had alopecia for a few years now. It started with a few random spots but eventually all my hair fell out. When this first happened, I had it treated by a dermatologist I was referred to for about a year but it did not seem to be working, so I stopped and just let it all fall out. He said it might grow back in a couple years on its own but so far that hasn't happened. So, I just heard about this site from a friend the other day who randomly came across it and I thought it would be great to have that support, especially if this is going to end up being more of a permanent thing than I originally thought!
Hi Amanda, are you at all interested in a local support group? We are having our annual picnic this coming Saturday (7/11) and I can send you the info if you want to be on our email list. Heidi ...
Actually, go ahead and email me at hodmark@comast.net and I'll add you from there. The picnic is Saturday from noon-3:30 pm in Scandia, the milking is at 3.
