    Hello and welcome, Linda!
You are beautiful! But I know how hard alopecia can be; I have had it for about 30 years. Let me know if you need help or support. One thing that you might be interested in is my book, written for women, called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" (It just won two national awards!) It has a lot of good info in it, it can answer many questions, and it's a fun read, too. You can find out more on my page. It's available on Amazon.com, and on this site under "Bookshelf."
Let me know if there's anything else I can do! I am here to help.

Linda, you must be feeling terribly isolated - or at least until you found Alopecia World. I had my hair until almost age 55, so we had similar experiences. I, too, didn't know anyone else. Have a good time browsing through the discussions and photos here - it's really wonderful. Check out the Group "Sisterhood of Women Who Shaved" to meet some really neat women. It took me the better part of a year to come to a place of acceptance and relative peace with my baldness. Hang in there.
