About Me:
have had alopecia for 7 years. Recently turned into universalis and have recently lost my eybrows , but kept my armpits and below the belt. ( not sure if that's really universalis) I love outdoors activities. Riding dirtbikes, boating, hiking, spending time in Tahoe, etc. Been having a dificult time with accepting my condition, but it's getting better with the help of a wonderful wife, great friends, and a loving family.

    I've only had alopecia for a litle over a year and it went str8 to AU. A big shock for sure but I am all good with it. Hope you are coping well too.

    Halloween was good. Weekend was better. Now it's back to work. Grrrrr
    Anyway, went the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park today. It just recently reopened.
    It's totally awesome. major attractions are The Planetarium, Rainforest, Living Roof, Aquarium. and lots of other cool stuff too.

    Hi Craig,

    Sorry your treatment isn't working. I tried the cortizone shots but they didnt work and I lost to much hair to continue. They wanted to try Anthralin cream but it didn't sound hopeful so I chose to ride it out.
    The only thing I am doing is 5% minoxidil twice a day on my head and brows and take a 1mg Biotin tablet once a day.
    If you lose your eyebrows and want them tattood I have a referral. Don't worry she does a great job and you won't look like a girl.

    I live right next to Sac State. What part do you live in? As for my hobbies...i like to get outdoors as much as I can since I'm always studying at school. I like to camp, fish, snowboard, go out on the lake..etc. What are some of your hobbies? I haven't been to any SF meetings, but I heard about the SF meeting last week.... unfortunately I couldn't make it. There used to be a support group here in Sac a long time ago....but i think it fizzled out. We should try to bring it back! Yeah we should def try to meet up tho. ttyl
