I know, it's often harder for the parents than it is for the kids! It's good the Haley is doing okay.
Unfortunately, alopecia is totally unpredictable. Haley could have some bouts with hair fallout and then it could just as easily go away with no future problem at all. Then again, she could be like me, progressing from spots to total baldness permanently. There is no cure at this time -- only meds to treat the symptoms.
There's really nothing you can do except be really supportive of Haley.
It might help you to read my book, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" It will give you a lot of helpful information, including research, medical, treatment , inspirational stories from other women and other parents. There's a chapter about children with alopecia. There's some humor, too! It has received two national awards, including Book of the Year. You can find out more on my page. It's available on Amazon.com. Let me know if there's anything else I can do! I am here to help.
Hugs!
