About Me:
My name is Megan, I'm 18 and have been living with alopecia areata since October 2009. Hair loss was slow and not too noticable at first, but eventually all my little patches joined up leaving me to bare all! Although I'm currently undergoing DCP treatment at King's Hospital in London to try and inspire some regrowth, I've recently come to terms with the new way I look and have been recommended to have a look round the site to meet like-minded (and hair-styled) people :)

    hi Megan Iam from the uk and have alopecia since I was 10yrs old and now in my late thirtys. For me it was very hard, but now Iam beinging to love my self. I wear wigs and always up dating them. wigs are getting much better now. I dont know if their places in the uk where peolpe met up with alopecia? .If you know can you let me know: It would be nice.

    Hi Megan :) Thanks for the friend request! yes, I'm starting uni in September, so I will let you know how the whole "Hi, I'm Liz, I'm bald" situation goes :) I'm not worried about it really, most people are genuinly friendly about it :)
