I am 55 years old and lost my hair 10 years ago. I was a stay at home Mom, Now my son is off to college. I need to go back into the work force , but I am terrified. People can be so mean. Beside the fact that I have been stress eating at the thought of working outside the house.

    Thank you!! :) It wasn't easy to hit the post button on Facebook, but I'm glad I did. I had a feeling people were assuming I was wearing wigs because my hair style was always changing. I thought it was time and there can't be more of a perfect time than Alopecia month. :) Have a good day!

    Hiya Laurie - Ta for the friend add! Glad I could make you laugh - there's enough unhappiness over hair loss, so maybe it's sometimes good to see it a bit differently!
    I'm sorry you're having a tough time at the mo'. But peeps get highly stressed over change - we all do it, with anything that tries to get us out of our comfort zone. Still, good luck on the job front, and who needs hair anyway?? I can't remember the last time I had to shave my legs... :)
