Hi, Everyone.
My name's Anna. I'm 24 years old and a student at Pacific University. I have had alopecia since I was around 11 and it's taken a big toll on my everyday life. But I've learned to live with it. There are times when I wish things could've been different but everything seems to happen for a reason in life.

I am passionate about my friends, my health, enjoying my life to the fullest and my schooling in attempts to earn my doctorate in pharmacy.

    Believe me, Anna, I wish I could wear a wig. I prefer the way I look in one (if you haven't seen it and would like to see me in a wig, look at my YouTube video "Alternatives to Wearing a Wig"). I just can't deal with the heat.

    That was actually my other guess! I studied Russian in high school, spent a summer there when I was 18, and then got my undergraduate degree in it. I'm still fairly fluent, though I've forgotten a lot of words and grammar. I have Bulgarian on the brain right now because I'm going to be drumming with some Bulgarian musicians this weekend, and I'm practicing my limited Bulgarian. I speak some Serbian, too, and that's actually closer to Bulgarian.

    Otkuda vy v'rossi'i?

    (Darn, it's hard to write Russian without a Cyrillic keyboard.)

    Spasibo. I'm better at speaking than trying to write. I do love the language, and someday I'd like to go back for a visit. I do some volunteer work here in San Diego visiting with elderly Russian speakers, so I get a little practice.

    учила в школе и институте, но хотелось бы знать лучше)))
    приходиться вспоминать, ведь хочется пообщаться с такими же как ты))) русскоязычных сайтов к сожалению на тему алопеции нет. а этот сайт мне очень помогает! я по другому начала относиться к проблеме алопеции)))

    родственники тебя конечно понимают, просто не так как тебе хотелось бы.
    мои родственники и близкие друзья тоже знают про алопецию, но редко со мной об этом говорят. наверно бояться сделать больно или что-то в этом роде)))
    единственное кому я не всегда рассказываю, это моим парням. очень боюсь, что они меня не поймут и чаще всего прекращаю отношения до того, как они начнут задавать вопросы.
    у меня алопеция с рождения. поэтому я не знаю, что такое иметь нормальные волосы. но так наверно лучше, чем терять хорошие волосы в сознательном возрасте.
