Profile Information:

Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
About Me:
I have been ‘bald by choice’ for many years, so long in fact that most people I come across have never seen me with hair – and indeed they never will. Over the years I have observed changing attitudes towards people that are openly bald, but what never ceases to amaze me is just how uptight some people can get over another person’s appearance.
Whilst I do not have alopecia myself I have been through my own life changing experience. I can empathize with anyone that loses something they once had.
Do you have alopecia?
I do not have alopecia
Are you age 18 or older?
Yes - I am 18 or older

Thank you! And it took me a while to get to the point where I am now.... But its a truly awesome feeling to be comfortable in your own skin and to know that others actually envy your self confidence and self awareness im refering to those with hair. I think that there is nothing on earth sexier than people that exude life from the very core of their being and except the challanges that life throws their way..... Not all things are bad! I surely wont die from having alopecia and my look sets me appart from most of the worlds population! Im good with it! Lol. Its my birthday and I will party, be happy and appreciate the fact that I dont have to go to the salon and spend a ton of money to get my hair done! Lol xxxxxoooo big kisses from Texas David! Party over there across thr pond for me tonight! And forgive my stupitity at the moment but educate me... What is bbc?

Actually I am working on a music benefit for Childrens Alopecia Project here in Philadelphia. When last on the NBC 10! Show, I spoke with the host and told him how soon I would be hair-less and why. I told him about my plans for the benefit and he said they would gladly have me on as a guest to speak of the benefit as well as perform. I'm excited about this.

So true. It makes it so you can create so many different looks and its alot of fun. I really like that picture too. I like to play around with different eyebrows and wigs and stuff like that. But I'm bald the majority o the time just because I love the way a bald head looks

    Of course, Christie is invited.

David, I really appreciate your contribution to Alopecia World.

Yes I agree with you David. There is a degree or a line where staring is allowable. I don't have a problem with staring if its done politely and with respect or appreciation. That is the beauty of life....a person's right to be themselves. And yes I agree there needs to be more awareness about alopecia to the general public. I found out recently that there is a support group within my city and never did hear about from the doctors. Also having spoken with the woman in charge, there is over 100 members but less than 20 will ever show up to meeting. Numbers that I just can't allow to continue. How many more like myself didn't even know a group existed.

hi David- no, i am still thinking about that head tattoo. thanks for asking though. i REALLY want to do it. i just don't know what i want for the rest of my life. i have some ideas- but someone told me the other day that tattoos are "cliche" now- because everyone has one. i am trying to think of something else radical i could do...pierce my head? i don't know.

Hi David, thanks for the friend request. Just got back after a long hiatus.
I haven't any "Hair" issues after 40 years... having arrived at deeper understanding of self.
