I come from a wonderful and close-knit family of 5. I have an older brother and sister and a bunch of special nieces and nephews. I am hoping and trusting God for a family of my own one of these days.
I am a believer that we were all created for a purpose. I can not lie and say having alopecia hasn't changed my life because it has. I decided to shave whatever was left of my hair a bit over a year ago. Some days are harder than others, especially when I receive those stares and see people whispering amongst themselves. But I am glad that I don't have to hide my AA anymore, I don't have to be scared of the wig falling etc. It's hard because the world's view of beauty is so distorted, but I choose to be happy knowing that my true essence is not in my hair, I am beautiful and special because I am fearfully and wonderfully created by God.
