Hi, my name is Erin, I am 27 years old and I have AU. Although it feels like a life time ago that I shaved my head it was only back in November '07. By Christmas I had lost all my hair, everywhere. I had never even heard of Alopecia before and so now that I have it I am going to try and learn as much as I can about it and meet as many people going through the same thing along the way.

    thank you for putting the word out there my wife had some bad bald spots and loss of hair when ever she brushed it. We made an appointment to remove it this coming thursday maybe we need more kids we have two beautiful girls and wouln't mind a couple more after not having the IUD. Now I'll seek legal advice against this company because my wife has been through a lot do to this alopecia problem. By the way She had the IUD for 4 months

    Hi Erin-

    I am new here but our stories are pretty similar. It has been almost 3 weeks since my Mirena was removed but I still getting a lot of of shedding. My skin is much better now but I am stressed about the hair loss.

    Any advice?

    Hi Erin! I went to doct today to get the iud out . They could not find the strings. They are sending me to another doct. I am really scared. My stomach has been hurting so bad . At night I am like heating blanket. I always run a Small temp At night. I can not even touch my boyfriend for very long. I make him too hot. Thank u for listening to me. I have no 1 to talk too about what I am going through.
