I'm 25 and I've had AU since I was 1 year old. I don't think about it so much anymore, at least not the way I used to some years ago. It's easier, and more fulfilling, to focus on what you love to do. For me, that's writing and reading, and a little art, ideally always with a big cup of tea and/or while travelling. :)

    Thanks for the add. I haven't gotten a friend request in like a month, was getting worried there. Anyways, I want you to know I have the same mindset as you. I do not want to just give up either. At the same time, however, I want to focus on what I have been given in this life. You've been hit harder than me with Alopecia. It's people like you - and you're positive attitude - that I pray for first before I get to myself.

    Don't ever feel "awful" about your looks. At the end of the day, beauty isn't seen on the outside, rather, on the inside. Beauty is defined by how big our hearts are. And that is why all of us are better individuals for having to go through this horrible disease.
