About Me:
I am a professor of History, Religion, and Archaeology and love what I do for a living, exploring the past while still looking forward to a bright tomorrow. I investigate the mysteries, enjoying ancient texts, forgotten ruins, and curious artifacts. I am also a Science Fiction/Fantasy fan too (Star Trek, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings) as well as into shows like Buffy, Angel, and Ghostwhisperer. I'm a music lover--listening to quite a variety (from Classical to Classic Rock, ethnic to alternative and play an acoustic guitar. I have Alopecia Areata, losing hair in patches, but it often grows back. I do not have male pattern baldness, for when it does grow back it grows back completely. The one exception is the beard on the entire right side of my face which for some reason has not grown back at all in the last few years.I will be honest by saying that I don't mind being bald and I find bald people of both genders attractive, but I also understand through my other friends who have alopecia that it is not easy going through this loss. I want to be here to encourage others to see how beautiful life can be, bald or not!
Do you have alopecia?

Are you age 18 or older?

    Hi James,
Yess! The netherlands are lovely. Especially since I love sailing and, as you know, we have enough water for that.
    Where did you live?
Anyway. I like your 'about me'. I feel the same way as you do. I'd be lying if I say I do'nt want a wonderful hair do, but as it is.... no use crying over spilled milk!
And I find that by being as you are and confronting people head on and head up (and head bare), one forces the other to respect you. It is a powerful way to force someone to notice you, swallow their prejudices and cope immediately.
Well, good for you. See you around!
