About Me:: Hi - I am a mother of 4 children (14, 12, 10 and 6 years old) - three of my children have alopecia:

My daughter got one spot 4 years ago (1 cm) - it is still the same size and she didn´t get any other spots (she was 8 when I discovered her spot and she never get a treatment).

My oldest son (now 14) got 3-4 spots when he was 7 years old - and they were pritty big. He got a kind of light-therapy and all hair came back within a half year. About one year later he got 2 spots again - but no treatment - and all hair came back anyway. Recently 16.6.2014) I found one new spot (left side, about 1 cm)ánd today (19.6.2014) a new spot on the back of his head (1 cm)

My youngest son (10) got 1 spot in 2013(ca. 1 cm big) - and recently another little spot (1 cm)- he is not loosing more hair...

(My sister in law has alopecia universalis).

I am german but living in Denmark with my husband and our 4 children. My oldest son has had AA once last year; right now he has got all his hair.
My youngest daughter is now 3 months old and she is loosing hair on the left side of her head. I am very concerned about it - she is so young! I don´t hope it´s AA - but it looks like it!

Hallo Annette,

das ist ja echt komisch, dass zwei Kinder von dir betroffen zu sein scheinen. Merkwürdig. Aber man weiß ja nicht genau, ob es erblich bedingt ist oder nicht.

Mein Vater hatte immer einzelne Kreisrunde Stellen, aber bei mir sind nun alle Haare weg.

Thank you- You have 4 beautiful children! Must be a handful, I only have 2! Laura may just be losing her baby hair- common for her age-Connor lost his at almost a year-not usual for baby hair loss. Good Luck

Hallo Annette. JA, ich freue mich auch, allerdings glaube ich, dass Deutschland nicht gewinnen kann, wenn die so schlecht spielen wie die letzten zwei Spiele.
Wie hast Du Deine Seite verändert?
Ich habe meinen Namen geändert, denn wenn ich mich google dann finde ich sofort alles was ich geschrieben habe..... Weißt Du ob man sowas umgehen kann???

Hej Annette
mein Sohn hatte auch als Kleinkind die ersten kreisrunden Haarausfälle, habe damals nichts von Alopezie gewußt und mir nicht so viele Gedanken gemacht. Die Stellen wuchsen auch schnell wieder zu.
Mit 10 hat er dann plötzlich alle Haare innerhalb von 3 Monaten verloren. Seitdem haben wir alles ausprobiert was hilfreich erschien( Uni, Selen, Vitamine, Schüssler Salze usw.) Er ist jetzt 13 und es geht ihm haarlos zur Zeit gut. Sein Umfeld akzeptiert ihn wie er ist.
Wir wohnen dicht an der dän. Grenze( sind sydschleswiger)
würde mich freuen von Dir zu hören!!

Hello Annette! I saw the pictures on your page of your children and they are just beautiful! It's only been a week and I don't think there has been any change in the size of her spot. Her hair is pretty thick so it's not obvious to most people, but when when her hair is wet it's very obvious, so I get a pit in my stomach when it's time to wash her hair worrying about what I will find. Her 9th birthday is this weekend so she's pretty excited about that. She knows that she has AA, but doesn't really know what it is exactly, just that she has a bald spot. Let me know how you are from time to time....take care,

Hello! It's been 4 weeks for us and I can see some very tiny hairs growing on the very edge of the spot, nothing in the middle though. So that's hopeful, and no new ones thankfully! We are doing well, it's early spring here, how about over there?

Chloe so far has been very lucky. She has only 8 bald spots that we are still able to hide. Her hair is starting to thin in additional spots. We will go to the dermatologist on the 26th, I hope we will be able to find more help.
Your children are adorable, such cute photos. I will share there happy smiles with Chloe.

Danke für Deine Freundschaftsanfrage, ich habe mich sehr darüber gefreut.

Trost zu spenden fällt schwer. Ich kann nur sagen, Du hast so bezaubernde Kinder. Versuche einfach die Hoffnung aufrecht zu erhalten, dass die Haare wieder kommen.

Ich bin Mitglied im Verein AlopeciaAreata Deutschland e.V. Mir helfen die jährlichen Treffen mit ebenfalls Betroffenen. Es sind "leider" auch immer mehr Kinder betroffen.
