About Me:: I started out with AA when I was 7 yrs old.. I was always able to hide the spots.. When I turned 30 my AA quickly became AU I was devastated..I had to adjust to wearing wigs and I was very uncomfortable with that.. But then I decided I'd just have fun with it.. Now I have lots of different styles and like to switch them around.. I did start regrowing some hair on my head recently but not enough to go w/o a wig.. And thank God my eyelashes and eyebrows grew back.. That was the hardest part of it.. I was not able to adjust to that..I hated leaving my house..Now I just try to stay as positive as I can about it.. I still have bad days.. But overall I'm much more accepting as I was.. I hope to be able to give support to those that are goin thru this self esteem crushing disease..I'm here to hopefully help the alopecia community and let them know it doesn't have to bring you down.. It can only do that if you let it.. Easier said than done..I know.. God bless you all:)
