My daughter was diagnosed with alopecia at 7 months old. She is now 7, and has been completely bald, alopecia universalis, since one year old. I fully believe that the best thing a parent can do for their children with alopecia is to accept it. There is nothing wrong with having no hair. A parent that's constantly looking for a cure sends the message to their child that there is something wrong with them. Love them and let them know they are beautiful as they are!

I like your idea of not constantly looking for a cure.
Take care.
