Hi Blair, I'm sorry for your pain... I feel it too as do many here. This website has proven to be a place to escape for me, to retrieve support and give it too. Nobody deserves what they've been stricken with to have landed them here. You don't deserve this, neither do I. But it has opened a new perspective of life to my eyes. I see so many women and men that I wish I could waive a magic wand to fix their hardships, this is one you can overcome! Shave it all off! I'm doing it soon too. It'll be weird, but hey... I'm tired of dealing with it, and will stress less over it I suspect. Good luck to you, we're all here for your support and information! :-) Don't get so down. -Sarah K.
Hey there Blair, I have a suggestion for your scarring. It's a product called DMSO, it's a form of MSM (ppl take MSM to help their joints function, I take it). It's very potent, DMSO is a liquid, it's natural... here's a link so you can read about it. http://www.dmso.org/articles/information/muir.htm My friend diluted it (she got it in pure liquid form) and sprayed it on my head as I have burning on my scalp... it burns a bit more, but is really good at diminishing scarring. Don't use it too much and don't us it undiluted. It's good, but strong. Just something to look into. Also Neem oil is good (also smells garlic-like) but good for the night time... massage it into your scalp for a few minutes every day, it helps scarring... it took away a red patch I had on my stomach for years in just a month or so of rubbing it in once or twice a day. So... hope these help you. I wish there was a magic wand to help us all, I'd give anything to have my scalp back to normal and normally growing hair again. Take care Blair. -Sarah
