Hi, I am in my early 40s and have had total alopecia since the age of 8. I'm a Lawyer, have a lovely supportive husband and a grown up daughter. My alopecia has never got me down asI do everything I want to do.
Hi Dee,
Thanks for your reply.
Your Alopecia story sounds like mine, AA starting at 8, trying to cover patches with hats, then AU by about 10 and wore wigs from then on. Would now much rather have no hair, unless it is going to grow back properly instead of teasing me with a little growth now and then (just a little of the fuzzy hair and a few eyebrows and lashes). I do love not having to shave my legs, underarms etc.
Great to see you have a good friend over here, hope you are able to visit NZ some time.
Take care and have a great week
Cheryl
Hi Dee, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to Alopecia World. I have been living with Alopecia Areata since 1991 and know full well the struggle it can be. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheryl, Co-founder
