I've read a lot of medical publications relating to alopecia areata and found that alopecia areata may respond differently to modes of treatment depending on the patient. My alopecia did not respond to any treatment but it also did not effect the health or strength of my hair and I was able to cover my spots by wearing the basic, base of the neck, chignon or ponytail most of my life. Alopecia is sometimes caused by stress which could mean your hair may grow in soon. Doctors are oblivious sometimes to the physchological aspects of alopecia, they seem to focus on the physical or inner health. Stay in touch!
