My name is Tracie and I have alopecia. I was diagnosed with alopecia at the young age of 24. My mom had female pattern baldness. With that being said, my alopecia is due to hereditary factors, hair glues, hair dyes, weaves, braids etc. Sometimes I want to just be naturally me. I have not developed the courage to allow myself to go outside without my wig or my head wrap. My family and friends does not know the severity of my alopecia only my husband (and I had to gradually introduce him to it.) Each day I'm learning how to accept me for who I really am. I love getting to know me while loving/embracing myself and exploring my natural beauty. There are so many phases of my balding experience and I'm ready for it! I'm ready for a new me (the real me) so let the journey begin!
