Hi Portia, Lost all my hair almost 20 years ago. There is always hope, I had given up a long time ago so you can imagine the shock of seeing it return again.

Only where its rubbed out from the lace area of my wig. I lost my hair almost over nite with no warning or prior history and no one on either side of my family has had any form of alopecia. For a blonde, I had unusally thick long hair, I went to have a spiral perm done and my hair dresser found a dime size spot and told me to go to the dermatologist, I did but he felt stress of losing two close relatives might have caused it. a few days later handfuls were coming out when I brushed and one morning I literally sat up and most of all my hair was lying on my pillow. a month later I lost my thick eyelashes and the rest of my body hair. All my body hair except my eyelashes has returned.

I don't think the type of brush or comb matters much, I have my own theory that stress can stop the circulation to your scalp and I bend over when I brush what hair I have coming in. The blood rushes to your scalp that way. I believe your blood vessels in your scalp constrict and become small when your stressed and thats why people suffer from headaches when life becomes over whelming, and your scalp tightens and the circulation to your scalp isn't happening. But it's just my theory, from my own experience.
