About Me:
I was diagnosed with Androgenic Alopecia and Telogen Effluvium after a scalp biopsy. I am by trade a Cosmetologist..so losing my hair was very hard for me. I have been wearing full wigs for the past 6 yrs. I started losing my hair my senior year in High school not knowing why. I am still searching for answers and have been told that for me it is a genetic gene that I have. I am one of 13 all adopted so I have no family history on myself. I am now launching my own wig line called "I AM" by Christina. The I AM is your source and confidence, through my struggle I am helping others re-discover their once found self esteem.

    Hi Christy,
I love your pics. You're beautiful and sure do look fabulous in a variety of hairstyles. I came across your profile from the wigs group and I would love to talk with you re: the best place to buy human hair wigs. I just ordered a full lace wig that I really like but I can see i'm going to have some issues with tangling and matting already. UGH! I don't know of anyone in Atlanta who cuts and styles wigs either. I see that you cut and style. I wonder if I could try and make an appt with you when i;m in MD (my sister lives in Rockville) in November. Thanks! Valerie

    Hi Christy,
I'll be in Md beginning the Friday before Thanksgiving. Depending on when you're leaving for the holiday, maybe we can meet up early during the week of Thanksgiving (Monday, Tues)? I could even do Friday if that works.

I am so frustrated with lace wigs right now. I thought I did my homework and purchased a full lace wig through a reputable hair stylist and its been 3 weeks and I'm already dealing with tangling and matting. I don't know what the problem is as she assured me that I was purchasing the highest quality hair (for $600 at that!) that would last a year or more. Since i'm new to wearing ful lace wigs, I have no idea what a realistic price point is or expectation for how long they will last. I'd appreciate any info you can share esp if you now of anything I can do to deal with the current issue i'm having. I'd like to purchase a couple more (because I love the comfort of the full lace) and have them cut in different styles so I can have some variety. Anyway, I look forward to hearing fom you and meeting you in Nov.
