My pleasure, Claudine! I'm still getting injections, only going on the 4th round. And just like your post, I have some stubble but the patches are getting bigger and the spots that they miss are bald. I'm still shedding but not as bad. Pretty ugly under my pretty wigs. So I'm on the fence about shaving. Just can't get the guts to do it. I don't know why I'm such a chicken! haha
    How are things with you?

    Hi Claudine,
I agree that most doctors dont know much about alopecia..but I also think that they use that as an excuse...are they really trying to learn about it? There HAS to be treatments that work...and a cure...somewhere, but no one has found it. In my opinion, theyre not looking hard enough...but, there are other diseases that need cures first. That being said, when I went to Dr Daly, it was different. If you look up Garden City Derm, you wil lsee that he specializes in alopeica. Now, many doctors say they specialize in it, if you look on a health insurance website...but they really dont. They do what they can do...what they know...dont really try anything new or different. Daly gave me lots of meds...about 5. You can tell he really cared about making my hair grow back. I didnt get the alopecia is hard to treat speech...I just got the care I needed with no BS ; )

I dont think shots are a waste of time. There are a lot of risks though, and you have to g o every month to get them. They are also painful in that area.

I found a pretty good Dr here named Dr. Hobbs with Georgtown..shes good so far. Someone that woks there has AU and is getting shots in his brows too.
