27 year old Aussie.. Had a bald spot on my arm, thought nothing of it. Next thing i knew it was getting bigger and then my legs started getting patchy. Now my hairline is starting to go from the outer edges and working its way in. Anyway, thinking about shaving my head soon because it is becoming too hard to hide!

    Hi Cokeman,

    Everyone will have different experiences. Mine started with a small round spot on my head above my ear and gradually progressed. I was first diagnosed with Alopecia areata and then over quite a few years became AU. My hair would grow back then fall out again. I think it was good the way it happened, as I had time to adjust to the situation. It doesn't worry me now and I have accepted it. It would be lovely if my hair grew back and I must admit I wish and pray it will expecially when I see women with lovely hair. Sharon
