I'm female single and black afro carribean, and have suffered with alopecia totalis for nearly 14 years. It is so life changing. I thought things would've got easier by now but instead I find myself becoming more distant an isolated from friends and family who just don't get it. I want to have a brighter outlook on life as sometimes it doesn't seem worth it and I have to try new things to lifted my mood. I really need to met people who know what it's like.
Hi Nubian
Thanks for the friend request. I see you are in London. I am in Surrey and go to support group meetings with Alopecia UK. There is a group that meets up in central London you might be interested in and a group I go to close to Kingston.
