About Me:: When I hit peri-menopause at 48 I struggled with a problem that I thought was resolved long ago. I guess people who have hair loss are sensitive to DHT. I will share with you that Finasteride has been a "hair saver" for me. I was rapidly losing until I started taking it four months ago. It has worked and my husband uses a topical formula with finasteride and minoxidil and he's getting his hair back! Derms usulally will not prescribe it to women, but your endocrinologist will. I wondered if any other women have taken or are taking it. There are a lot of blogs for men on this, but not women. I would like to hear from other women about thier experiences with this medication and about some other treatments they tried.
