    Oh dear, she does need some support. Have you gone on the National Alopecia Areata web site (www.naaf.org) to see if there are any groups close to you?

    Good...maybe through that group you will find someone a little closer...or start your own! It will help if she sees some other girls in her position, especially if they are happy and confident!

    I would contact someone from NAAF and find out how to go about it. A guy started one here -- he's just out of high school! So it can't be too complicated.
