I am an african-american woman that loves my life. Out-going, world traveler, etc. I started loosing my hair noticeably 4yrs ago.At the time I had "dread-locks" to my waist. Some how I think I associated my physical beauty to my hair. The journey of loosing my hair has been both painfull and triumphant. I have learned many life lessons associated with giving to much importance to other people's perception's about me. I struggled with this all of my life and was alway's aware that I was your typical "people pleaser". I thank the Creator for this experience that has liberated me from my fears! There is so much that I can share...Perhaps another time. Peace. ps. I love my "Bald" me!!!!
Hi Marjorie - congrats on coming to terms with Bald You! It's amazing how coming to terms with having no hair makes you appreciate what's important in life, and recognise the stuff that's just baggage. Hope you have a good time and make lots of friends on here! :-) - Norm
