i noticed my hair thinning about 4 months ago. then came the bald spots and huge chunks of hair and i went to the doctor got blood tests and found nothing wrong so she said i had alopecia areata.i went through the biggest emotional rollercoaster of my life lost all my hair now its growing back and im ok with alopecia and ok with me being the way i am but now i am loosing my hair again

    Hey Nikki, Sorry it's been a bit, we just got back from a few days at the beach, it was great! The weather was perfect. Thanks for the 411 on the biopsy, it is scary, I wonder if my Dermatologist will let me wait till September to have it, that way I can at least swim until then.
    Hey so glad Carnival went so well & you have a great time. Yea for you.

    No more dermotologist appointments for me...that was years ago.
    I figured out that they were making heaps of money on me and nothing was ever going to change.Life happens and it will grow when it want to grow.
    No magical cure!
    Hopefully something will be discovered oneday.
    Immune is Immune and some times thyroid can be the cause.
    Hormones and SLE Lupus.
    Yet by now they have tested for all that.
    So...I personally have come to terms.
    I don't like it...........................but what's agirl to do!
