I was diagnosed just this last December and have almost lost all of my hair. I work for a winery and a gym. Needless to say, I have been a bit devastated but glad to be alive.
I know how hard it can be. That's why I wrote the book -- to help other women. I didn't have much help when I went through it, so I wanted to be there for others.
As far as shaving your head, I never did that but didn't have to -- since all my hair fell off in big clumps! But once it was all gone, it was sort of a relief -- the worst had happened and I was still okay. You can always shave it and then let it grow back if you don't like it that way.
Let me know how you like the book! And remember that if there's any way I can help or support you, I am right here.
Hugs!
