im twenty one and was was diagnosed with alopecia aerata in october of 2011. At the time I was in the middle of my cosmetology schooling and now I am just about graduated. I have never had big self confidence issues until losing some of my hair and normally I am very composed. Well it's a little different now... and perhaps I am more vulnerable to losing a bit of control on my emotions. I will find that composure again and I will hold the confidence and pose I had somewhat lost, I will however take my time getting there.
Hi Brittany, Yes, ny book is called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" I wrote it because when I was NAAF spokesperson, a lot of women had questions for me and I thought the easiest way to answer them would be to offer them in a book that would reach a lot of people. I did focus groups, interviews and research and combined many women's personal experiences, a lot of resources, a lot of valuable info and a lot of humor into the book. It is interesting a joyful! Blessings, Leslie Ann
