About Me:: I'm a 27yo female, Filipina-American. I was diagnosed with alopecia areata in Feb. 2010 and it has been progressing more quickly than my dermatologist expected. I've been very upset about it, and have recently purchased a full wig. I've tried cortisone injections every month, Rogaine/minoxidil, and Olux (cortisone foam). The injections helped a little bit, but I'm still losing hair. My dermatologist has prescribed oral prednisone and it really helped for the past couple of months. My hair started growing back! But on 2/19/11, I think I may have discovered a new small spot :(
