    Roxann, take it from me -- I interviewed many women for my book, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" and all of them felt exactly the same as you do. It's very difficult initially, and hair is very important to one's self-image. If you have alopecia for any length of time, however, you will adjust and find ways to feel good about yourself again.
