Hi kyrie, my alopecia came on thick and fast around 3years ago and i lost about 40% of my hair and eyelashes, first starting with a small patch that soon as i noticed it and started to worry quickly became more and more. it would start to grow back within a month or two fine white hair but would lose in patches in other places, i decided after a month of crying after losing just my hair at that point that i wasnt going to let it beat me so i decided to buy fake hair extentions that clipped in i dyed my hair blonde so that the re-growth wasnt as noticable and just ignored that it was even happening, then my eyelashes fell out and it was like a slap in the face, i felt as though the alopecia was saying 'you cant ignore me, im here'...after the initial shock that now my face was effected and i cudnt do my make-up fully i decided once agen i wouldnt let it beat me and i brought loads of different fancy fake eyelashes online :) i was now no longer a brunette with brown eyes but a blonde with fake eyelashes and blue contacts, i created an alto ego to fight the alopecia and for me it workd, i enjoyd dressing myself up to beat what was happening and i forgot after a while that it was, i had a new routine and a new me, after just 6mnth all my hair had grown back, now im a brunette again and fingers crossed i only suffer small patches every now and again, for that i rub on fresh coconut oil brought in the dominican republic up in the mountain whist on a trip the tour guid said it was good for children that suffer alopecia so i thought at the time id give it a try, at the time i had a small patch so i rubbed it on and by the time id left the two week holiday it was starting to grow fine white hair :) after reading alot about what everyone is going through i realise how lucky ive been, my thoughts are with you all xx
