Iam 52 and have been losing my hair for over 8 years now (very gradually)I have been undiagnosed by the hospital, but after my own research I can see I have FFA
I think it’s important to get on with life - I am very « hair curious » right now - so far I’m okay where I’m at - about 2 inches gone all around, but I wonder about wearing hair in the summer heat. I hope you won’t mind posting picures if you feel okay with that. Thank you!
Thanks Meme. I'm hoping that since my hair (once I get it) is attached only around the top of the skull, that it will be cooler than a full blown wig. If it's not, it will be a pretty expensive lesson learned! I'm fortunate that I live in California where it's not usually overbearingly hot.... but having said that, ti's been in the 90's the past few weeks. I will upload a picture once I have it on. I love this group of women on this site - a great place to discuss an issue that others just don't understand.

I believe Lucinda Ellery in London might be able to help you with the system that isn't a full wig. Might want to check them out.
