I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a runner. I am an Alopecian. It doesn't define me. I started losing my hair when I was 19 and have gone through all the stages with it that are possible. My breakthrough came with a beautiful tattoo on my head that I love to show off. So I have stopped wearing wigs/hats every time I go out and have gotten really comfortable with showing my "true side."

  Thanks for the comment! Congrats on the birth of your baby! How old is she/he? I live in N. Phoenix (Carefree Highway & I17 area) so I'm pretty far from all of the events too. I do hope to meet everyone soon.

  I have alopecia, and three other autoimmune diseases.  My daughter has just been diagnosed with alopecia.  I wish they would find a cure.
