I've survived Ovarian Cancer and as a result of the chemotherapy I am completely bald. It started growing back in patches and then gave up and all fell out, including the eyelashes and eyebrows that had grown back in. I am striving to find acceptance of my new reality but have had some very frustrating and depressing moments.
How to find a natual looking & feeling wig and ways to keep the eyebrows and eyeliner that I put on to stay. Little things like this have proven to be a continual challenge.
I'm so thankful to have made it through the chemo and am blessed by not having any further signs of the cancer but I selfishly want my hair back. The doctors all said that it should grow back. The cancer was awful but not having hair seems so much more permanent.
Hi Judy! That is great that you're seeing Brenda Kay! I wish so much I could meet you up here -- I would just love that! Unfortunately, I won't be available at all that day. Bummer! Let me know if you will be coming in again, okay? Leslie Ann
OH GOODIE! I'm so glad you (and your daughter) had a great experience! Now you can see why I won't bother going to anyone else but Brenda Kay! Yes, let's be sure to meet up when you come back. And I hope you will post pix of your new wig! Hugs!!
