    Hi Alex,
I stopped giving my son the Rogaine because it wasn't working on his scalp. It was only causing his scalp to dry out and crack. He was getting hair down his back and above his butt. I think it was from the Rogaine dripping down his back. After reading about Rogaine, it only works for as long as you use it. It maintains the hair but if you stop the hair will fall back out. I didn't see it has a benefit to my son so I stopped. When I did he lost the back and butt hair. He kept his hair for a few months, then in 3 days he lost all of it, including his eyelashes and eyebrows. I was in tears. My son has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease recently. We have removed gluten from his diet and we are seeing some very small growth. Only some small wisps of hair but he had nothing for 7 months so I will take what I can. I personally don't think Minoxidil will work but it's different for everyone I have talked to. As a fellow mom, I feel your frustration. You just want this to stop. Good luck with whatever you choose to do and if I could I'd give you a big hug. We all need to stick together in this :). Take Care, Renee

Hi Alex. Thanks for the message. Nice to hear from you. We're doing really well. My daughter will be going to nursing school in the fall. She just has to decide if she wants to go local or go 3 hrs away. Today it was local tomorrow it may change. She has until may 1 to decide. It was a rainy Saturday today. We went to get her permanent makeup eyebrows touched up today ( which is a yearly appt-our 1st touch up) and then we went out to lunch. She said at lunch she would definitely go away to college if she had her hair and wishes she did and how things would be different if she didn't lose it. It made me sad of course but I also

realized she's accepted her condition and doesn't pine too much about it. It's been a journey and it does get better.

How are you and maya? How long have you been using the minoxidil? It does take patience and time. Has the hair loss stabilized? How is she doing? It can be a very emotional condition for all of the family.
I do hope you are all doing well . Take good care :) Geneva
