    Hi Reginald,

Welcome to Alopecia World. In a world where hair is a big part of fashion, it can seem to difficult without hair. Part of that reason is that people see it as unusual, yes. At the same time, it is usually associated with other medical conditions. Personally, it's not the hair that matters, it's the person. As you age, however, having the hair becomes less and less important. There are plenty of well known athletes, celebrities and public figures who have alopecia. Some even have AU. So, it's more about personal image of and confidence in yourself than it is about what other people think. We're judged every day by those around us even about such silly things as the shoes we are wearing or a piece of jewelry. It's not other people's opinions who matter, it's yours. Let people think what they want. If they confront you with their opinion, kindly thank them for their opinion and move on. Of course, you have to accept yourself the way you are now.

As for relationships, that can be different. The person who accepts you for you rather than for your condition is what matters. This is the type of person who you seek for your relationship. In the matters of the heart, if you keep searching, you will find the right person. Perhaps even on this very site. :)

    Good luck and welcome.
