Hello Mairi, I hope you are well. I thought I'd contact you because I'm a Scot like you and was interested in how you said you had to self-diagnose the FFA. That was my experience too. I'm a wee bit older than you and have had FFA for about 10 years but of course for the first few years I didn't know what it was! I eventually saw a dermatologist in Edinburgh and he said it was a form of Lichen Planus. I looked up the internet and found out about FFA from there. I gave up on dermatologists three years ago but am going back to see one next week - though I'm pretty sure there won't be much she can do. It's a depressing condition isn't it, but at least it isn't life-threatening!
