Well, I've had AA for as long as i remember, so I don't know any other way to live. I have always gone out without a wig or hat. I do have 3 beautiful wigs and whenever I feel uncomfortable I put them on. I have grown up with the stares and double takes, so you don't notice them after a while. I think it takes a long time to get used to your image once it's changed. This is a pretty quick few words of what I think, but if you would like to know more or just talk about, feel free to! I wish you well!! -Alex
I have had aa since I was four and a half. When I hit my teens it progressed to at and then in my late teens early twenties it progressed to au. I used to wear wigs but I don't anymore. They can be somewhat uncomfortable!!! I have finally come to terms with it. It doesn't bother me that much anymore. Don't get me wrong I still have my moments but they are fewer and far between now. How are you coping with your alopecia?
