I discovered my first bald patch 2 months ago and I had my first treatment for AA 2 weeks ago. All of this is new to me. I am familiar with the Alopecia journey due to a distant cousin having AU. I worry more about acceptance from my small grand children than that rest of the people. I am open about what I am going through so if I have to eventually shave my head there will be no surprises. But the hair loss continues and there is really no one to talk to about who isn't "sorry".
