I have had AU for many years! I was 26 when I got it. It's always hard trying to adjust, but there are so many wonderful wigs, eyebrows and eyelashes now that no one has to know that I don't have a hair on my body! I guess what has helped, besides the resources (including support groups), is that it finally has become fun trying new wigs, colors and looks. And I don't care who knows because a lot of women who have hair wear wigs anyway -- for bad hair days, or because they don't like their own hair. And I love not having to shave anything. And the best thing about it is that you get to reach out and help someone.
