I am 44 years old and still have a problem accepting my condition, but I have came a long way.....i use to not be able to tell people i am wearing a wig now i can and even told some people that i do have alopecia. I am growing and thought some help from others who have alopecia would help me.
Hi, Trenia! I wanted to let you know about an event coming up in San Bernardino next month. Comedienne and alopecia patient Georgia Van Cuylenberg will come to the Feldheym Library downtown on April 17th as part of our Script Frenzy celebration. She will talk about her life as a comedy writer, her transition from standup to screen and documentary writing, and her landmark documentary "Baby Let Your Hair Fall Down", about her battle with alopecia. For more info, call the San Bernardino Public Library at (909) 381-8215.
