Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
Mom of a beautiful 6 year old little girl with Alopecia Areata. She began to lose her hair around 1 and was completely bald around 18 months. I lost all my baby hair at once and quickly grew thicker hair so we figured she was going through the same process. When her eyelashes and eyebrows fell out we knew something was different. Just before her 2nd birthday she was diagnosed.
Since she has never known herself with hair she doesn't associate hair loss or being bald as a negative. Just something that makes her unique. We've been so thankful to have such a positive support system around. Our hope is for her to be confident and happy in who she is without a wig or hat.
Do you have alopecia?
Parent or guardian of child with alopecia
Are you age 18 or older?
