["Youths sporting the close crop hairstyle akin to skinheads are making a comeback in various shopping malls, reported Kosmo! Ahad.

These groups had been seen loitering in malls such as The Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur during weekends or at underground music performances.

A former member, Mohd Haris, said there was one group in each state.

Hoping to learn some things

I have been daignosed with alopecia 20 years ago, I also happen to be an HSP a highly sensitive person. I am constantly in conflict with my environment. Hopefully i will learn one or two things from all you courageous people. I am lacking a support system here in the States. My husband is there once in a while??? Even though i am a very strong person well my shell is at least, inside i am very vulnerable and fragile...it gets hard sometimes-(

Overwhelmed with joy!

My cousin JT (who is basically me in drag) told me before he went to Dragon-Con this past weekend that he was going to shave his head to support me during Alopecia Awareness Month. I just laughed it off, because he's never done it. Well, I just posted the picture -- he did it!! All I could do was call him and just cry on the phone, because I was so overcome. Literally, nobody has ever done anything like that for me in all the years I've lived with alopecia.

Somehow, thank you just… Continue

Have been to the doctor and am now halfway through my 3 month wait to see a specialist. They are all certain it is alopecia. In the beginning i didn't let it get to me, i thought well at least im not sick right? But in the past couple of weeks its all got to me and I find myself starting to cry and unable to stop! Why not just have "selective" (chosen) exposure?

I just bare it in certain places, not in others. Why does it have to be all or nothing? It's your head. You get to choose where and when and with whom and for how long you will feel comfortable!

Another new derm

Took my son to the derm yesterday for some better answers. She ordered the tests that I wanted and said we could do the biopsy whenever I was ready. I went ahead and held off on the biopsy for now only because I'm scared it will encourage another spot to start. His last spot started from a major head bump. He had a huge knot after the bump, its actually still there 2 months later, plus the new spot that started where he bumped his head. So because of that I'm afraid for now. She did say that… Continue

Fix what's in your head to cure what's on it

Hello very interesting news about the treatment of alopecia. CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) is helping many with alopecia. Although stress is a most probably a contributing factor to alopecia; ongoing stress or more specifically situation related stress- anxiety is a big obstacle why hair takes time to regrow. This anxiety state adds to our unwell health and increases our stress hormones stunting hair growth.

If we feel quite self conscious and avoid doing things as of alopecia… Continue
