Would you do an Alopecia medication study?

I signed up to participate in an alopecia study I thought why not what could it hurt ? I’ve already lost all my hair so there’s nothing to worry about there . But then I think what if my hair grows back? Then I think if it doesn’t help me maybe it will help someone else someone young.Alopecia is devastating for me as an adult I can’t imagine having it as a child or a teenager. But now I’m kind of having second thoughts. I’m kind of worried about the medication I’d be putting into my body .They say there are no bad side affects but who really knows. Would you do it if you had the chance?

I would love to take part in a clinical trial. As a physician I participated as a clinical investigator. I would need the pharmacologic details first.

Yes I would. Unfortunately I am in a country with no such studies carried out.

I'd do it.  I was diagnosed with alopecia areata when I was 12. That's 6th grade.  I was very patchy the next few years. Went to go to a wig when I was 16.  When I was pregnant with my daughter at 29 I lost all my hair. It literally started at my eye browns and worked its way down my body.  Now at 45 I have one small strip of hair on my left leg and and that's it.  I've been living with it for 33 years. I don't even care anymore. Honestly the thought of having hair to shave and maintain sounds dreadful.  The last treatment I had was in the early 90's where I was getting 132 cortisone injections in my head once a month for 4 months.   The next treatment they wanted to try was some cream that would burn my scalp. I was like um done. Tapping out, don't care no thanks.   I've never really researched it um my adult life but I would probably do something it helped find a cure or successful treatment for someone else.

I would do it in a heartbeat. I am sick of having to wear ball caps or wigs all the time.
I am working from home full-time now, so I have minimal contact with anyone other than my animals. It was temporary, but I live in WI where the governor wants us all on house arrest for the foreseeable future. Besides, the company sold the building just after the initial lockdowns.
I am currently on LDN and am following a Paleo Diet. I have had some growth, but nothing to write home about.

I had alopecia totalis for the past 8 years. Yesterday I filled out some form on-line to participate in trials and today I received a massage that they were interested to accept me.

OMG. I am so confused also. Not sure what to do. It's on Sunday 1,5 hours away from my home.
