Hey Erin ....the wig that im wearing in most of my photos is an Allegria Virgin Russian Hair wig.... from Allegria fin wigs in Toronto...it was a little over $3,000 I also have 2 other wigs ( yaffa wigs)...i bought a yaffaoutletwigs.com they were alot cheaper....and still nice.. i find that when or if ordering wigs ...buying them without earpeices make them alot more comfortable... and you can put the wigs up in a ponytail easier. Sometimes i add longer extenstions in my wigs to add a little more lengh...i just play around with it....good luck with your quest for a new wig..... my "dream wig" would be a blonde wig form "design by Flora"...in NY... there supposed to be the best... she has amazing reviews... oh well...one day..lol

Hey Erin! I have been good, some days are harder than others. I have lost a majority of my eyelashes and eyebrows within the past few months as well. I am waiting for a new wig to come that I ordered. Still trying to find the perfect wig, which I worry will never happen. This wig you see in my picture is a little too dark for me and too shiny at times. It was $2800 too even being synthetic because you can use heat up to 400 degrees and style it so it works really well. Did you find a place near by? Hope you are doing well and keep in touch!

Hi Erin. I still haven't accepted it. And I've had it since I was 18. I went bald right away and wore a wig for 5 yrs. Then it all came back for a bit and then for the last 15 yrs I've just dealt with bald spots. Sometimes big enough to wear hair pieces, but never all like I'm at right now. It all fell out in April of this year. I'm definitely struggling. Sometimes I do think.."what the hell's the BIG freakin deal??!!" And other times it is "Oh my gaaaad how do I go on like this and try to love myself".

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about the Keto shampoo. You have helped me out more than you know! It feels like something is eating at my scalp causing severe itching and pain. I read on the internet that Keto is being considered as a treatment to reverse hairloss. Your advice really calmed me down. I think I will be trying it in the next few days. I will keep you posted! Thanks sweetie...

i have losing my hair for more than a year, but if your analysis are ok, it looks like areta diffusa to me if you are losing the rest of your body hair as well, i only lose the hair on my scapl, and maybe a littler more eyebrows but nothing anormal....although i got very tiny spots in my scalp which there are not regeneration so maybe i got areata, you dont have any spot?.
maybe you can chage your diet to try, i am ditching coca cola light because product light have some poison (espartamo in spanish) and gluten....and it seems to get better, but i am not sure yet

I too have severe burning and scalp pain. I was given the Ketoconazole shampoo but am terrified to use it because I don't want to damage the hair I have left. Have you used it? Did it make your hair break or fall out?

My sheds have become a lot lighter the past week or so. I lose maybe 100 a day but it varies so much. Some days are a lot worse but I try not to count or look. On the days when my scalp itches the most I also lose the most hair. I am ALWAYS stressed due to eating disorder and panic attacks. I am just waiting for the next shed... Hang in there darling!

Hi! I got it in NYC at Joseph Paris. It was $3,500 which was alot of money for me to spend, but I feel it is worth it. It is alot more comfortable than my previous wig and he custom made it to fit and put some highlights in as well. I prefer longer hair so mine was $1000 more than if it was a shorter length. I am looking into another place right now locally to see if I can find a synthetic wig too as I sleep in mine every night and straighten/ blow dry everyday so It has taken a lot of wear on my hair. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any advice! Have a great day

Hey there! I get my wigs at a place called salon mez-a-me in upland california! No one can tell i wear one, they look great! I do wear the glue on lashes, you have to buy the glue also, and add more to the strip, or it will fall off, just a think layer..wait for it to dry for a few seconds then start puuting it on. It will take awhile to get used to it, then start to only take a few seconds once you get used to it! i love them too!

sorry ive been off of this for the longest time.. but i get my wigs from acewigs.com... and the company that makes them is Amore wigs...style Brandi.... i use a low heat straightner when it starts getting tangled .. and then i place hot rollers and let it set for 15 min... works great :) if you have any other questions just let me know and ill answer them.. also when i first get all my wigs regardless where i get them from i always use a straightner so it looks less bulky.. right now the straightner im useing is vidal sasoon mini on the loswest setting possible :_

Erin, Dont worry about all the questions! Im glad i could be of some help! You are so lucky to still have hair lol I had about 40% of my hair left when I shaved it. Most of my hair loss was underneath but eventually started falling out on top too. I will have to shave my head every couple of weeks to make sure the incoming hair doesnt push my wig up. The wig is pretty easy to apply ( although Vincent wants me to come to him to have it washed and applied for the first couple times) . I can wear the wig without taking it off (so to bed and in the shower and everything in between!) for up to 3 weeks before having to reapply it. Soft glue works the best and doesnt build up and look gluey. The wig will last me up to 4 months, it really depends on how careful you are with the wig and how many times you need to wash it. I hope this helps! and feel free to ask me as many questions as you want :)

Hi Erin,
Im pretty new to the whole wig thing so when i purchased my first wig 3 weeks ago I kind of did it at a spur of the moment thing. It is the wig you see in the pictures on my profile of me with long dark hair. However, I wouldnt recommend the person I went to go see for it. Just yesterday I decided to shave my head when I found a salon near by that specialized in wigs and hair extensions. I LOVE it. The wig is alot lighter in color but feels so much more natural and less heavy. My scalp looks so real it is scary. It was alittle pricy (1500) and it only lasts up to 5 months but it is well worth it. The guys name is Vincent Fabi and he owns a salon in Wethersfield, CT called Fabi of Rome. He is a miracle worker. I highly recommend him. He also has salons in other locations, google him! I hope this helps and i look forward to getting to know you better! Have a great day!
